%X The present study was designed to investigate the anti-oxidant activity of the methanolic extract of Portulaca oleracea. The methanolic extract was evaluated by TLC and HPTLC fingerprint method. Anti-oxidant activity of methanolic extract was determined by DPPH free radical scavenging activity, reducing power by FeCl3, nitric oxide free radical scavenging activity, super oxide scavenging activity by alkaline DMSO method.
