Studies on methanol extract of Cichorium intybus Linn by means of HPLC-UV, NMR, HPLC-MS resulted in isolation and identification of three previously unknown flavones glycosides: 5, 6, 7, 3¡ä, 4¡ä, 7¡ä-hexahydroxy flavones-7-O-¦Â-D-glucopyranoside (1), 3, 5, 7 ¨C trihydroxy-3¡ä,4¡ä-dimethoxy-flavone-7-O-¦Â-D-galactopyranosyl-(1¡ú4)-¦Â-D-xylopyranosyl-3-O-¦Á-L-rhamnopyranoside (2), 3, 5, 7-trihydroxy-6, 4¡ä-dimethoxy flavones (3) also isolated were three known flavones, luteolin (4), ladanetin (5) and spicoside (6). %K Cichorium intybus Linn %K Compositae %K TMS and Flavone glycoside %U http://ijpsr.com/V3I3/27%20Vol.%203,%20Issue%203,%202012,%20IJPSR-1094,%20Paper%2027.pdf
