%0 Journal Article %T Description Morfom谷trica of the Intestinal hairinesses in bovine Descripci車n Morfom谷trica de las vellosidades Intestinales en bovinos %A Diana Avila %A Angela Niˋo %A Adriana Parra %A Paola Rodr赤guez %J Cultura Cient赤fica %D 2009 %I Fundaci車n Universitaria Juan de Castellanos %X The study aims to characterize the histological parameters of the small intestine of bovine slaughtered on the plant of Tunja - Boyac芍, relating height, width, and quantity of hairiness with the nutrients absorption surface, in order to establish better diets, health and nutritional handling, as well as associate the digestive pathologies most commonly shown in our region cattle. For the study methodology, they were taken random samples of (n = 15) animals slaughtered for a weekand taken samples of their small intestine (duodenum) of 1 x 1 cm. They were preserved in formol at 10 % and sent to the pathology laboratory of the National University in Bogot芍, where it was applied the hematoxilina-eosina (H-E) staining, included previously in paraffin blocks. Strips were analyzed in the laboratory of base sciences of the Foundation Juan de Castellanos, using a Model microscope with a 10 x increase in the lens. Measurements were taken on millimetres (mm) values. It is concluded that in the observed field there are 4 hairiness with an average height of 0,521 mm and width of 0,10 mm. As the intestinal hairiness are located close to the cranial portion of the small intestine they were observed more abundantly in each field, longer, more uniform and wider, which increase its internal surface, facilitating the digestion processes and absorption. El objetivo del estudio es realizar la caracterizaci車n de los par芍metros histol車gicos del intestino delgado de bovinos adultos sacrificados en la planta debeneficio del municipio de Tunja Boyac芍, relacionando la altura, el ancho y la cantidad de vellosidades con la superficie de absorci車n de nutrientes, para establecer mejores dietas, manejos nutricionales, sanitarios y asociar las patolog赤as digestivas de mayor presentaci車n en los bovinos de nuestra regi車n. Para la metodolog赤a del estudio se tomaron muestras de (n=15) animales al azar sacrificados durante una semana. Se les tomaron muestras de intestino delgado (duodeno) de 1 x 1cm, conservadas en formol al 10% y enviadas al laboratorio de Patolog赤a de la Universidad Nacional sede Bogot芍, donde se les practic車 la tinci車n de hematoxilina-eosina (H-E) con previa inclusi車n en bloques de parafina. Las l芍minas se analizaron en el laboratorio de Ciencias B芍sicas de la Fundaci車n Universitaria Juan de Castellanos, utilizando un microscopio Model con un aumento 4x y 10x en el objetivo, las mediciones se tomaron en valores de mil赤metros (mm).
