Different batcheswere prepared by the film hydration method followed by sonication. Different ratios of soya phospholipids, cholesterol, mannitoland sorbitol were used to prepare liposome to determine their effect on particle size, entrapment efficiency, in-vitro drug release(using Franz diffusion cell) and stability. The Liposome particle size varied between 6.24¡À0.09 to 25¡À0.99¦Ìm, entrapmentefficiency varied from58.6 to10.2%. Stability studies showed that the best stability was shown at 2-8¡ãC for 1 month and leaststability was shown at 45¡ã C for the same time period. Batch-L was selected best on the basis of its good entrapment efficiency, possessing a release profileover 25 hours and having considerable particle size. %K Liposome %K Evaluation %K Film hydration %K Sonication %K Soya lecithin %K 5 - Fluorouracil %K Mannitol %K Sorbitol %U http://www.eijppr.com/nov-dec2012/15.pdf
