%X Entre 1938 y 1963, la Confederaci車n de Trabajadores de Am谷rica Latina (CTAL) fue la organizaci車n sindical m芍s numerosa y de mayores v赤nculos continentales e internacionales que se tenga registro. La historiograf赤a obrera desarroll車 durante la segunda mitad del siglo XX una investigaci車n superficial y acr赤tica sobre la CTAL. Este trabajo recoge gran parte de esos trabajos, llegando a la conclusi車n de que hay muchas sombras y pocas luces del hist車rico protagonismo que le cupo a esta organizaci車n sindical en un periodo de suma trascendencia, como fueron la posguerra y los proleg車menos de la Guerra Fr赤a. Para avanzar es necesario dirigir las perspectivas hacia nuevos derroteros. Between 1938 and 1963 the Confederation of Latin American Workers (CTAL) was the largest union and with more international links that have being registered. Labor historiography on the CTAL developed an superficial and uncritical work during the second half of the twentieth century research. This articles reviews many of these studies, concluding that there are many shadows and few lights of the historic role that of this organization in a period of great importance, as were the postwar period and the eve of the Cold War. To advance the prospects need to be directed toward new directions.
