%X This text shows the results of the archaeological excavation of the burial mound identified as the n.5 of the  Fomo dos Mouros  group, in the range of Coriscada (Ortigueira, A Coru a). Despite being one of the most significant mounds of the area, it has been very poorly preserved. The final objective of this project was the gathering of archaeological and historical information about the monument and the preservafion and enhancement of the site in order to make it understandable for the public, as part of a broader plan of cultural and touristic presentation at the regional level. The mound is a large site, showing indicators of lost monumental structures (a megalithic chamber), but it was substantially transformed in the last centuries. Its main singularity is the presence of an earlier burial mound that was later covered and preserved by the construction of the currently visible barrow. The further construction of a major mound over it allowed an exceptional preservation of the burial chamber and gave way to a rather complex stratigraphie sequence that reflects a series of long and richr building processes. [gl] Pres谷ntanse os resultados das diversas campa as de escavaci車n dun dos t迆mulos mais se eiros da comarca de Ortigueira e que pola contra, presentaba un estado de conservaci車n p谷simo: o t迆mulo 5 do conxunto de Formo dos Mouros, na serra de Coriscada. O obxectivo final destas intervenci車ns foi, adem芍is de recuperar informaci車n sobre este monumento, preservar e acondicionar as s迆as estructuras para que fose comprensible a xente en xeral, as赤 como int谷gralo nun plan de posta en valor coma recurso cultural e tur赤stico da comarca. Tr芍tase dun xacemento de gran tama o, cos restos de estructuras monumentais a赤nda que moi alterado uestes 迆ltimos s谷culos. A singularidade deste xacemento 谷 a presencia das estructuras dun primeiro t迆mulo soterrado baixo as masa tumular do segundo, o que permitiu documentar un primeiro monumento que, polas dataci車ns radiocarb車nicas, corresponde 車s inicio do megalitismo, coas estructuras centrais en un estado de conservaci車n excepcional, as赤 como a complexidade do proceso constructivo que levou 車 xacemento o seu aspecto final.
