It has two beta subunits coding for two different genes, beta 1 and beta 2 subunits are coded by PF1592 and PF1706. This is probably due to gene duplication .The length of beta 1 and 2 subunit is 446, 388 amino acids. Present study deals with the tryptophan synthase beta chain amino acid sequence from 13 Archaea available in KEGG. Pyrococcus furiosus taken as reference organism for comparative genomics of Tryptophan synthase, available data used for comparative genomics was interrogated using bioinformatic tools.
