%X A novel, simple and sensitive liquid chromatography 每 tandem mass spectrometric method (LC每 MS/MS) has been developed and validated for levocetirizine quantification in human plasma using Neverapine as an internal standard. Levocetrizine is a selective, potent, H1-antihistamine compound indicated for the treatment of allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria. Quantitation was achieved by MS 每 MS detection in positive ion mode as ESI. The chromatographic run time was 5.5 mins on a Thermo Hypersil GOLD 100 x 4.6 mm column. The mobile phase was a mixture of Acetonitrile: 0.1 % Formic acid in 5mM Ammonium Formate buffer (90:10 v/v). Inter-batch and intrabatch coefficient of variation across four validation runs for the quality control samples was less than 9.70%, The accuracy determined at quality control levels was within 81.09 每 119.77%.
