%X This article conveys reflections about the use of literary texts in foreign language teaching either in language courses, or at schools and even at universities. An implicit object in these reflections is to articulate two areas of knowledge: Linguistics and Literary Studies, showing how profitable a dialogue between them can be in order to have a more meaningful learning and teaching of a foreign language, especially English, which was emphasized in this article.
