%X Face recognition systems due to their significant application in the security scopes, have been of greatimportance in recent years. The existence of an exact balance between the computing cost, robustness andtheir ability for face recognition is an important characteristic for such systems. Besides, trying to designthe systems performing under different conditions (e.g. illumination, variation of pose, different expressionand etc. ) is a challenging problem in the feature extraction of the face recognition. As feature extraction isan important step in the face recognition operation, in the present study four techniques of featureextraction in the face recognition were reviewed, subsequently comparable results were presented, andthen the advantages and the disadvantages of these methods were discussed.
