Various anthropometric indices like Body Mass Index, height for age and weight for age can be used to assess the health of individuals like obesity, underweight, stunting and malnutrition. To learn some of these indices, a survey was carried out at Kanglung Thubten Choekhorling Shedra. The sample population was all male, their age ranging from 14 to 27 years. Our main objective of the study was to know the current health status of the monk body as a whole using the indices mentioned above and to create awareness about some nutritionally associated diseases. The measurements were done using weighing machine and measuring tape. The data were analyzed using software like Epi Info 3.5 and SPSS 19. The study showed presence of high correlation between weight, height and age. Anthropometric indices revealed that significant percentage of individuals were stunted, overweight or underweight. These low or high indices are the indicator of future health risks. %U http://jr.sherubtse.edu.bt/index.php/sherub/article/view/21
