%0 Journal Article %T Romanian communism and uncertainty border between the public sphere and private lives %A Alina Hurubean %J Sfera Politicii %D 2013 %I Funda?ia Societatea Civil? %X The paper aims to show that public-private report is a socio-cultural construction and examines the contextual (re)configuration of the two spheres and the border between them, from a gender perspective. This analysis shows that communism can be understood not only by macro-economic politics, class relations and culture but also by categories targeted privacy policies, gender relations and women. We will try to show how the communist state¡¯s official ideology built the relationship between the state and society, how he managed to erase the public-private distinction and maintain its gendering.
