%X La terapia periodontal regenerativa tiene como objetivo lo de restaurar los tejidos de soporte periodontal y deber赤a resultar en la formaci車n de nueva inserci車n conectiva y (nuevo cemento con nuevas fibras del ligamento periodontal insertada) y nuevo hueso. Evidencia histol車gica en modelos precl赤nicos ha demostrado regeneraci車n despu谷s de tratamiento con membranas barreras, distintos tipos de material de relleno y una combinaci車n de los dos. De todas formas, todav赤a no queda claro en qu谷 extensi車n la combinaci車n de membranas barreras y material de relleno puede promover de manera adicional el proceso de regeneraci車n en comparaci車n con tratamientos 迆nicos. Regenerative periodontal therapy aims to predictably restore the tooth's supporting periodontal tissues and should result in formation of a new connective tissue attachment (i.e. new cementum with inserting periodontal ligament fibres) and new alveolar bone. Histologic evidence from preclinical models has demonstrated periodontal regeneration following treatment with barrier membranes, various types of grafting materials or a combination thereof. However, it is still not clear to what extenta combination of barrier membranes and grafting materials may additionally enhance the regeneration process compared with barrier membranes alone, grafting materials alone or open flap debridement.
