Neural networks are very useful for modeling dynamic processes for which the mathematical modeling is hard to obtain, or for processes that can¡¯t be modeled using mathematical equations. This paper describes the modeling process for the unloading arm movement from a rotary hearth furnace using neural networks with back propagation algorithm.
