Aims: To identify the effects of Kegel exercises associated with the use of vaginal cones in urinary incontinence. Case Description: A woman with two prior cesarean deliveries participated in the study. Her first child was born with 3,600 g and the second with 4,100 g. The patient was medically diagnosed with urge incontinence. The genitourinary evaluation held in the first session with a physiotherapist showed marked hypotonia and laxity of the perineal muscles, which according to the scale of Ortiz had grade 2 muscle strength. The Pad-test indicated urinary loss of 35 g. After performing 10 sessions of physiotherapy with Kegel exercises associated with the use of vaginal cones, the final evaluation was performed. The patient then had grade 3 muscle strength in the range of Ortiz, and urine loss was 25 g according the pad-test. The patient reported to be feeling the positive results after 10 sessions. Conclusions: we concluded that Kegel exercises associated with the use of vaginal cones in this patient, led to the improvement of urinary incontinence in a short period of treatment. %K FISIOTERAPIA %K INCONTIN¨ºNCIA URIN¨¢RIA %K MULHERES %U http://revistaseletronicas.pucrs.br/ojs/index.php/scientiamedica/article/view/8982/7238
