Interim reports play an important role as asource of frequent information for investors. This study provides insight into the perceptions of Bangladeshi investors on the usefulness of interim financial reports. The perceptions of investors of interim financial report were solicited using a questionnaire survey method. This paper provides evidence that interim financial reports are considered more useful than the annual reports. Our study also found that Bangladeshi investors rely on interim financial reports to estimate the forthcoming annual results and earning per share and current year prospects are the most useful items among the items of disclosure in the interim financial reports. This paper suggests that the importance of interim financial reporting would depend on the type of investors.
