%X This research explores the role of education in developing the local community of Al-Majma'ah town in Saudi Arabia. In so doing, it attempts a detailed account of the relationship between education and development. The paper then proceeds to report the development issues that have been addressed by the tertiary education programs in the light of the theories underlying the relationship between education and development.
