%X Using different instructional materials adapted within the constructivist learning theory will enhance students¡¯ conceptual understanding. From this point of view, an instructional instrument using a concept cartoon adapted with 5E model has developed and introduced in this study. The study has some deficiencies in investigating students¡¯ conceptual understanding about the topic, but further research should be undertaken in order to investigate its effectiveness in a comparative manner.
