%X Dans leurs r¨¦cits, Amadou Hampat¨¦ Ba (1900-1991) et Ahmadou Kourouma (1927-2003) proposent deux types de rapports bien distincts entre les figures de l¡¯auteur-cr¨¦ateur et du traducteur, dont la comparaison r¨¦v¨¨le certaines des mutations qui affectent le champ litt¨¦raire de langue fran aise ¨¤ partir des ann¨¦es 1970. Alors que le premier se pr¨¦sente comme le traducteur de textes oraux pr¨¦existants et insiste sur son r le d¡¯interpr¨¨te permettant ¨¤ deux univers radicalement distincts de mieux se conna tre, le second cherche ¨¤ cr¨¦er des identit¨¦s linguistiques plus complexes. La confrontation de ces deux mod¨¨les est ins¨¦parable de l¡¯¨¦mergence du moment postcolonial. This article studies the relationship between two literary figures (the author-creator on the one hand and the translator on the other) in Amadou Hampat¨¦ Ba¡¯s and Ahmadou Kourouma¡¯s narratives. The comparison between these two writers reveals some of the transformations the French and Francophone literary field has undergone since the 1970s. While Hampat¨¦ Ba (1900-1991) saw himself both as the translator of pre-existing oral texts and as an interpreter helping two radically different cultural universes to get to know each other, Kourouma (1927-2003) tried to create more complex linguistic identities. The confrontation of these two models is one of the consequences of the emergence of the postcolonial moment.
