%X This article concerns a pratically unknown portrait of Charles II of Spain. Aside from its pictorial and esthetic quality, this work is of particular interest because of the suggestive historical, iconographical and interpretative questions to which it gives rise. El presente art¨ªculo estudia un retrato de Carlos II pr¨¢cticamente desconocido. Su inter¨¦s se centra, aparte de su calidad pict¨®rica y est¨¦tica, sobre todo en los sugerentes interrogantes hist¨®ricos, iconogr¨¢ficos e interpretativos que plantea.
