%X Daniele da Volterra is better known in Spain for painting the drapery that covers some of the nudes in Michelangelo¡¯s The Last Judgment than for his own work, which defined him as his master¡¯s most loyal successor. Nonetheless, Daniele¡¯s influence on Spanish art through Gaspar Becerra, a disciple of his in Rome, determined to a large extent the development of sculpture in this country in the second half of the 16th century. This article makes known and discusses Daniele¡¯s previously unpublished last will and testament, located in the Archivio di Stato di Roma among the volumes by the notary Thomassino, who attended to the inventory of his possessions. It also provides new details on Daniele¡¯s estate and on his direct disciples Michele Alberti, Feliciano de San Vito, and Biagio Betti along with his indirect ones such as Jacopo Rocchetti. Daniele da Volterra es m¨¢s conocido en Espa a por pintar los pa os que cubren algunos de los desnudos del Juicio final de Miguel ¨¢ngel, que por su obra, que le define como el m¨¢s fiel heredero de su maestro. Sin embargo, su influencia en el arte espa ol a trav¨¦s de Gaspar Becerra, disc¨ªpulo suyo en Roma, condicion¨® el desarrollo de la escultura en buena parte de nuestro pa¨ªs en la segunda mitad del siglo XVI. Publicamos y comentamos aqu¨ª su testamento in¨¦dito, localizado en el Archivio di Stato di Roma entre los vol¨²menes del notario Thomassino, que se encarg¨® del inventario de sus bienes, y aportamos noticias relativas a su herencia y a sus disc¨ªpulos directos, Michele Alberti, Feliciano de San Vito y Biagio Betti, e indirectos, como Jacopo Rocchetti.
