By regarding disability as an object of desire, the transabled community reverses the dominant characterization of disability. Apart from medical and psychological considerations, transability is an interesting phenomenon also from a philosophical point of view, because it shows the post-modern conflict between body and life. The author first mentions body art, in order to show how this artistic movement makes it clear that the body has been engaging a sort of struggle against life in the last decades. Life seems to be a redundant energy that could be used to create new hybrid forms. Based on the concept of ¡°Antropotechnology¡± by Peter Sloterdijk and ¡°de-somatics¡± by the Barbara Duden, transability is considered as the phenomenon where the fight between life and body becomes even more extreme. %K Transability %K Body %K Life %K Antropotechnology %U http://www.scienzaefilosofia.it/res/site70201/res647569_17-FUSCHETTO.pdf
