Se caracterizaron las muestras determinando par芍metros como: pH, cloruro, alcalinidad, turbidez, s車lidos suspendidos, aceites y grasas. En pruebas preliminares de clarificaci車n (pruebas de jarras) utilizando coagulantes qu赤micos comerciales, se seleccion車 la dosis 車ptima y el coagulante a ser utilizado como coadyuvante del proceso de flotaci車n con aire disuelto, resultando el Floculante Cati車nico de Alto Peso Molecular (FCAPM), el m芍s adecuado con una concentraci車n de 0,006% en volumen (3,54 mg/L). Las pruebas de flotaci車n se llevaron a cabo a tres diferentes presiones (30, 40 y 50 psi), y para cada condici車n se vari車 el porcentaje de reciclo (30, 40 y 50% de la alimentaci車n). La condici車n operacional con la que se obtuvo mejores resultados fue a 40 psi y 40% de reciclo, mostrando porcentajes de remoci車n de 90% de aceites y grasas, 72% de s車lidos suspendidos y 70% de clarificaci車n del efluente. In this investigation a dissolved air flotation system was evaluated. The reactor used was to the lab scale. The Flotation system was used for the treatment of production oil waters, from a separator API located at the Patio Tanks ULE, in T赤a Juana Zulia (Venezuela). The samples were characterized by determining parameters such as: pH, chloride, alkalinity, turbidity, suspended solids, oil and grease. The optimum coagulants dosage, and the coagulant to be used were evaluated by the ※Jar Test§, using commercial chemical coagulants to help the flotation process in a dissolved air environment. The results showed that, the Cationic Flocculant of High Molecular Weight (FCAPM) was the most appropriated at a concentration of 0,006% in volume (3, 54 mg/L). The flotation tests were carried out at three different pressures (30, 40 and 50 psi), and for each condition the recycle percentage was varied (30 %, 40% and 50% of the feeding).
