This paper provides an preliminary study of Direction Of Arrival(DOA) foroutdoor positioning and attempt to classify the different approaches. We focus on DominantFrequency Selection(DFSE) ,Approximate Maximum Likelihood(AML) and Multiple SignalClassification(MUSIC) methods.
