%X This article analyses the representation of recent Romanian migration in the press from sending and receiving countries. The article shows that recent Romanian migration is discussed stereotypically by the media, quite similarly to representations of other migration flows. Generalist press or tabloids in the sending and receiving countries institute similar representations of migration through reference to various criminal offences. The constant preference for such reductionist representations reveals the socially instituted practicesof journalists.
