%X This research had as objective to determine the incidence of the just-born orofaciais malformations in the city of Jequi¨¦-BA, in the period of 2001 the 2006. For in such a way a survey of information in the registers of the maternity of the Hospital Geral Prado Valadares(HGPV) was carried through where if verified incidence of malformation in 1/298.4 been born livings creature. How much to the prevalence of malformation in relation to the sex, a bigger occurrence in the feminine sex was observed (60%). The cleft palate lip (FLP) represented most frequent of the malformations
