In the history of Romanian sociology, the interwar period includes the school of Bucharest, coordinated by Dimitrie Gusti, the sociological project of Virgil B rbat from Cluj and the sociological vision of Petre Andrei in Ia i. In this context, we cannot ignore the activity of the Chernivtsi Group, coordinated by Traian Br ileanu. This group was composed of great intellectuals such as Leon opa, Barbu Slu anschi, Ion urcan and George Macrin and of young students preoccupied by the sociological debates and attracted by the ideas of their mentor Traian Br ileanu. They set up a publication in 1935, ¡® nsemn ri sociologice' (Sociological Notes), in which they published their works together with important figures in sociology, politics and ethics. In our study, we present three of the themes developed in this important publication: The Art of Ruling, The Jewish Problem and The Idea of RomanianCommunity. All these themes were the beginning of a debate that made history. %K Traian Br ileanu %K Chernivtsi %K ethics %K sociology %K politics %K the art of ruling %U http://www.revistadesociologie.ro/pdf-uri/nr.5-6-2012/09-OVIDIU-VINTILA.pdf
