%X This article aims to emphasize the main shortcomings characterizing the system for the protection of children's rights in Romania. In this respect, the article presents the results of a qualitative research project, based on interviews and focus-group discussions with specialists in the field of child protection. This research was carried out by the Institute of Sociology within the National Research, Development and Innovation Plan (PNII), the Ideas program.
