Par gisement de l'¨¦chantillon, les gaz naturels ont ¨¦t¨¦ class¨¦s selon leur composition ou du moins les ¨¦l¨¦ments les plus caract¨¦ristiques de celle-ci (C2+, H2S, CO2). Malgr¨¦ certaines difficult¨¦s dans la couverture statistique de certaines r¨¦gions, les r¨¦sultats de cette approche essentiellement descriptive paraissent significatifs tant pour ce qui concerne la relation nature des gaz (associ¨¦s ou non) et composition, que pour l'analyse de la fr¨¦quence des contaminants ou encore les valeurs des proportions en impuret¨¦s. L'analyse r¨¦gionale qui conclut cette ¨¦tude permet enfin d'¨¦tablir les caract¨¨res g¨¦n¨¦raux par zone et d'en cerner les particularit¨¦s. The aim of the present study is to propose a distribution for natural gas reserves in the world (outside of North America) by gas composition. By reservoir samples, natural gas types have been classified by their composition or at least by the most characteristic features (C2+, H2S, CO2). Despite some difficulties in the statistical coverage of some regions, the results of this essentially descriptive approach seem to be meaningful concerning both the nature and composition of the gas types (associated or not) as well as the analysis of the frequency of contaminants together with the values of the proportion of impurities. The regional analysis that concludes this study gives the general properties by zone and specifies the particularities. %U http://dx.doi.org/10.2516/ogst:1987040
