The objectives of test management are to managerequirements dynamically, effectively utilize the 'testing cycle'time and efficient use of testers in terms of their productivity.Test management tool known as 'Quality Center (QC)' is widelyused for managing the STLC of the project. Test caseprioritization techniques schedule test cases for execution in anorder that attempts to maximize some objective function. Avariety of objective functions are applicable; one such functioninvolves rate of fault detection ¡ª a measure of how quicklyfaults are detected within the testing process. An improved rateof fault detection during regression testing can provide fasterfeedback on a system under regression test and let debuggersbegin their work earlier than might otherwise be possible. In thispaper we have presented a method of choosing risk-based testcases. Our risk analysis is based on a practical risk model, and issimilar to that used by some organizations. %K Fault detection %K Regression testing %K Risk model %K Test cases %K Test management %U http://ijcsn.org/IJCSN-2013/2-1/IJCSN-2013-2-1-70.pdf
