%X RESUMEN: La novela polic¨ªaca espa ola reciente utiliza el contexto socio-pol¨ªtico alrededor de la investigaci¨®n que narra preocup¨¢ndose m¨¢s por la problem¨¢tica humana que por la resoluci¨®n del caso per se. Desde el fin de la dictadura hasta el comienzo del siglo XXI numerosos escritores han retratado el impacto del consumo de drogas ilegales y el narcotr¨¢fico en Espa a. Este tipo de narrativa se dispone como un espacio para que implicados, v¨ªctimas e instituciones se pronuncien ante esta realidad y permite que se orqueste un discurso socialmente comprometido sobre la situaci¨®n de estas sustancias. ABSTRACT: Recent Spanish detective novels have used the sociopolitical context surrounding the actual investigation narrated in the text in order to express a stronger concern about the issues in society than about the criminal case per se. Since the end of dictatorship until the beginning of twenty-first century, several authors have portrayed the impact of the consumption of and trafficking in illegal drugs in Spain. This kind of narrative lays a suitable ground for individuals, collectives and institutions involved with these substances to comment on this situation and to convey a socially committed discourse regarding this problem.
