Adorno (whose thoughts tried to deal with the most extreme horror of that century, Auschwitz) refused to communicate or even to take into consideration each other*s works. This article attempts to bring them into dialogue from the point of view of what constituted the core of their work: thinking against the barbarity of the extermination camps - thinking and acting so that such barbarity is not repeated. After presenting the form in which both philosophers think the singularity of the genocide and the links with the historical and social processes that made it possible, the article tries to analyze their underlying differences, which have to do with two irreconcilable theoretical approaches. %K Arendt %K Adorno %K Auschwitz %K radical evil %K banality of evil %K anti-Semitism %K modernity %K capitalism %K total domination %K Arendt %K Adorno %K Auschwitz %K mal radical %K banalidad del mal %K antisemitismo %K modernidad %K capitalismo %K dominaci車n total %U http://arbor.revistas.csic.es/index.php/arbor/article/view/777/785
