%X El hilo conductor de este texto tratar de mostrar,  a qu谷 obedece el fen車meno de sinhogarismo, como hecho social propio de los pa赤ses desarrollados? A partir de esta cuesti車n, los objetivos son presentar la terminolog赤a que se utiliza para referirse a este grupo de poblaci車n, plantear la dial谷ctica entre los viejos y los nuevos perfiles de ※sin hogar§. Trataremos de demostrar c車mo hist車ricamente se ha asumido que se trata un sector social improductivo y peligroso socialmente. En estrecha relaci車n con lo anterior, nos hemos propuesto romper, con datos recientes, algunos de los principales estereotipos que juegan en desfavor de estas personas. Por 迆ltimo, analizaremos los procesos de exclusi車n propios de sus itinerarios vitales y ofreceremos algunas pinceladas sobre el futuro previsible en relaci車n a esta problem芍tica humana y social. | The main thread of the article is its attempt to determine the causes of homelessness, understood as a distinctive social phenomenon of developed countries. On studying this question, we will also try to show how, historically, it has been assumed that the homeless constitute an unproductive and socially dangerous group. Next, and closely linked to this, it is our goal to use recent data from Spain in order to refute some of the main stereotypes which negatively affect the collective. Lastly, we shall analyse the exclusion processes which are typical of their life trajectories and offer a few indications on the likely prospects of this human and social problem in Spain.
