%X The article develops a review of the most conspicuous managerial tools and fashions of the last fifty years, then qualitatively characterize such practices according to their impact around three main domains of managerial action: information, technology and human resources, and their combinations; subsequent analysis allows to make inferences about the extent to which ˇ°advanced managementˇ± is either proactive or reactive. The objective is to make a prospective about the characteristics that many managerial practices will share in the 21st. century, based on their remarkable features, and the degree of congruence with prevailing environments that they exhibit.
