The nanoparticles allow laser desorption-ionization mass spectrometry analyses of various low molecular weight (LMW) organic compounds. The new method was used for successful determination of thymidine, 5-fluorouracil, 2¡¯-deoxycytidine, cytidine and 2¡¯-deoxyuridine.
