This is more important with the fact when all the risk factors are ruled out. Several independent physiological processes which donĄ¯t fall in the category of difference high risk group which includes insulin resistance, central obesity, dyslipidemia,. Other non-classic risk factors, such as abnormal LDL low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol and C-reactive protein levels, are highly correlated with the coronary artery disease. Use of the metabolic syndrome criteria for assessment is comparable with other risk-scoring systems in accurately predicting cardiovascular disease risk and is simpler to implement in the clinic. Further research is needed to define the etiology of the metabolic syndrome. %K adipose tissue %K adipocytes %K adiponectin %K cardiovascular risk %K metabolic syndrome %U http://www.ijcsr.co.in/Documents/Volumes/Vol%20I%20issue%204/ijcsr%2020110104(6).pdf
