%X Commercial activities of Venetian patricians in Albanian territory reach back to the 11th century and had its apogee in the period of the Serenissima's political domination of the coastal zone between Durazzo and the Scutari bassin (1392-1479). Members of the same patrician families often advantageously combined administrative duties and commercial interests. The short-time character of these "Albanian actions" did not allow however the formation of an Veneto-Albanian nobility comparable to the Veneto-Cretan ¨¦lite. However, the Venetians succeeded in stabilizing their Albanian province in the turmoil of the 15th century by integrating local Albanian elements in the greater frame of Adriatic commerce. L'activit¨¦ commerciale du patriciat v¨¦nitien dans l'espace albanais remonte au XF si¨¨cle; elle atteignit son apog¨¦e ¨¤ l'¨¦poque de la domination politique de la S¨¦r¨¦nissime dans la zone maritime entre Durazzo et le bassin de Scutari (1392-1479). Les grandes dynasties patriciennes entam¨¨rent alors de v¨¦ritables "actions albanaises", en combinant l'activit¨¦ administrative de certains de leurs membres ¨¤ l'engagement commercial d'autres nobles de la m¨ºme famille. Se bornant ¨¤ des entreprises ¨¤ court terme, ces familles ne parvinrent pas ¨¤ former une noblesse v¨¦neto-albanaise, analogue ¨¤ l'¨¦lite v¨¦n¨¦to-cr¨¦toise. En int¨¦grant l'¨¦l¨¦ment local dans le circuit commercial adriatique, ils r¨¦ussirent cependant ¨¤ stabiliser la province ¨¤ une ¨¦poque mouvement¨¦e.
