%X Se realiz¨® el an¨¢lisis bibliom¨¦trico de 11 185 art¨ªculos sobre sistem¨¢tica de 414 revistas latinoamericanas publicadas entre 1976 y 2006 y se presentan los resultados sobre la producci¨®n general de las revistas, el pa¨ªs de edici¨®n y las disciplinas que incluyen. Se identifican las revistas clave, se presentan sus caracter¨ªsticas y desarrollo, y se detalla la cobertura temporal, regional y tem¨¢tica (enfoques y taxones) de cada una. Los resultados se integran y contextualizan para identificar las caracter¨ªsticas m¨¢s importantes del proceso de institucionalizaci¨®n de la disciplina. I undertook bibliographic analysis of 11 185 systematic papers from 414 Latin American journals from 1976 to 2006. I present results from journals' general production, country of publishing, and disciplines. I identify the most productive journals, their characteristics, development, and details regarding temporal, regional and topical (focus and taxa) coverage. Results are discussed in terms of how they contributed to the institutionalization of the field.
