%0 Journal Article %T USING EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY TOOLS TO IMPROVE LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS OF ESL STUDENTS %A PŁżnar KASAPOŁżLU-AKYOL %J Novitas-ROYAL %D 2010 %I Novitas-ROYAL %X The focus of this qualitative case study research project was to find out what educational technology tools international students at Eastern Michigan University use to improve their language and communication skills. More specifically, this study is based on this research question: ˇ°On their own, outside of the structure of ESL classes, to what degree do International students use technology to practice English language and communication skills?ˇ± The question let me to explore what technologies they use and how often and for what purposes. In this paper, 6 interviewee` answers and the results of their interviews are given to have better understanding of the research question. The results of this study suggest that students are using technological tools in their daily lives for many purposes, especially for their education.
