These elements are considered from the standpoint of the potential for developing policies more in tune with certain temporalities and spatialities present in this region. Accordingly, the importance and the sociospatial profile of this specific type of dwelling are laid out in this study of the urban dynamic that establishes itself as a basis for the town-river relationship. From an empirical standpoint, three specific towns are analyzed: Bai o, Mocajuba and Camet¨¢. These are ¡°ribeirinha¡± towns located down the Tocantins River, in the State of Par¨¢, between two great modern and economically-important projects, the Tucuru¨ª hydroelectric power station and the Albras-Alunorte industrial zone in the eastern Brazilian Amazon. %K ¡°ribeirinha¡± town %K spatialities %K temporalities %K changes %K permanent aspects %U http://revista.ufrr.br/index.php/actageo/article/view/544/607
