%X La correcci車n de los caninos retenidos en el paladar mediante aparatos fijos, ocasionan a veces desvitalizaci車n de los dientes vecinos, debido a la proximidad de la corona de estos con las ra赤ces de los incisivos. La direcci車n de la fuerza de tracci車n lograda con t谷cnicas fijas puede provocar estas desafortunadas secuelas. En este se trabajo se muestra la confecci車n de un aparto removible, con el objetivo de traccionar al canino superior cuando se encuentra retenido en posici車n palatina. El dise o se realiz車 a partir de una placa de Hawley, que se le acopla un resorte en forma de imperdible, donde una parte de este queda dentro del acr赤lico y la otra, que constituye el elemento activo, ser芍 insertada al dispositivo pegado en el diente retenido. La ubicaci車n de este elemento activo, permite orientar la direcci車n del vector de fuerza, de manera que evite lesionar a dientes vecinos. Se ha observado que este aparato mejora el pron車stico y reduce riesgo de reabsorci車n radicular, consider芍ndose que es 迆til para el inicio del tratamiento de los caninos retenidos en el paladar. The correction of the canines retained in the palate through fixed devices leads sometimes to the devitalization of the neighbor teeth, due to the proximity of their corona with the root of the incisive. The direction of the traction force achieved with fixed techniques can provoke these undesirable sequels. In this work we show the confection of a removable device to draw the superior canine out when it is retained in the palatal position. The design was made based in a Hawley plate, adding a spring in the form of a safety pin. A part of the spring stays inside the acrylic plate, and the other, the active element, is inserted in the device tied to the retained teeth. The position of this active element allows orientating the direction of the force vector, in a way avoiding the lesion of the neighbor teeth. We observed that this device improves the prognosis and reduces the risk of the root reabsorption, and it is useful to start the treatment of the canines retained in the palate.
