%X La toxoplasmosis ocular es la causa m芍s frecuente de uve赤tis posterior de etiolog赤a conocida, caracterizada por recurrencias que conllevan a una p谷rdida significativa de la visi車n. La manifestaci車n ocular m芍s frecuente es la coriorretinitis, tanto en una primoinfecci車n como en la recidiva de una forma cong谷nita. Se presentan dos casos que acuden a la consulta de oftalmolog赤a de la cl赤nica Jos谷 Mart赤 Ballenita, en Ecuador, por p谷rdida brusca de visi車n. A los mismos se les diagnostic車 esta enfermedad. El desempe o del oftalm車logo en el diagn車stico precoz de la misma es de vital importancia, para la aplicaci車n de la terapia, tipo de droga a utilizar y duraci車n del tratamiento de forma individualizada con las drogas de elecci車n, y lograr as赤 una consecuente rehabilitaci車n visual. The ocular toxoplasmosis is the most frequent cause of posterior uveitis of identified etiology, characterized for recurrences leading to a significant loss of vision. The most frequent ocular manifestation is the chorioretinitis, in a first infection and also in recidivism of a congenital form. We present two cases assisting the ophthalmologic consultation of the clinic Jos谷 Mart赤 Ballenita, in Ecuador, because of an abrupt loss of vision. The diagnosis of both cases was this disease. It is very important the performance of the ophthalmologist in the precocious diagnosis of the ocular toxoplasmosis, to begging the therapy, determine the kind of drugs to use and the continuation of the treatment with the chosen drugs in an individualized form, reaching that way a consequent visual rehabilitation.
