Therapy is based on antiepileptic drugs such as phenytoin and carbamazepine. Here we report a case of 21-year-old male with IS whose continuous muscle-fiber activity diminished clinically and was documented on electromyography by Botulinum type A toxin injection. In our opinion, clinicians may consider botulinum toxin type A in either the diagnosis or the treatment of IS.
