%X El VIH/sida constituye, en el momento actual, un serio problema a nivel mundial. Los adolescentes forman uno de los grupos m芍s vulnerables y de mayor riesgo para esta enfermedad, de ah赤 el inter谷s de valorar la influencia de una intervenci車n educativa en el desarrollo de conocimientos y percepci車n de riesgo en estudiantes de 12mo grado de la Escuela Militar Camilo Cienfuegos, de Matanzas, en el curso 2007-2008. Para cumplir el objetivo trazado, se realiz車 un estudio epidemiol車gico de tipo intervenci車n educativa, empleando como metodolog赤a la educaci車n de pares a trav谷s de la formaci車n de facilitadores, con la aplicaci車n de un test inicial y al final de la investigaci車n. Para ello se dise 車 un programa compuesto por cuatro etapas que incluyeron: diagn車stico, selecci車n de facilitadores, desarrollo y evaluaci車n. Como resultado del diagn車stico, el grado de conocimiento y la percepci車n del riesgo fueron considerados como deficientes, las creencias no mostraron variaci車n y en las actitudes un alto por ciento no practica sexo protegido. Esto sirvi車 de herramienta para la intervenci車n educativa, la cual se realiz車 a trav谷s de la preparaci車n de facilitadores y educaci車n de pares entre los mismos estudiantes. Finalmente, se midieron los resultados de la intervenci車n educativa aplicando nuevamente el test. Como resultado, se logr車 incrementar el grado de conocimientos y la percepci車n del riesgo. Independientemente que no lograron clasificar estos a su m芍ximo nivel, se report車 un incremento significativo de los mismos. Como recomendaci車n se sugiri車 aplicar esta metodolog赤a educativa en el trabajo con los grupos m芍s afectados en la provincia de Matanzas. HIV/AIDS is, currently, a serious problem around the world. Teenagers are one of the most vulnerable risk groups for this disease, and that is the reason of the interest in evaluating the influence of an educative intervention for developing knowledge and risk perception in 12 th grade students of the Military School Camilo Cienfuegos, of Matanzas, during the 2007-2008 school year. To reach the intended aim, we made an epidemiologic study, educative intervention type, using as methodology the pair education through the formation of facilitators, applying an initial test and another at the end of the investigation.
