%0 Journal Article %T The resund Committee ¨C Cross-border institution-building in the Baltic Sea Region %A Magdalena Sch£¿nweitz %J Nordeuropaforum %D 2008 %I Humboldt-Universit?t zu Berlin %X Since the political turns of the late 1980s and the early 1990s, cross-border co-operation has experienced a remarkable upswing in Europe as well as in the Baltic Sea Region. Against this background, this piece of research analyses political institution-building in cross-border regions in the Baltic Sea Region. Taking an actor-centred perspective, the actors and their contexts which authoritatively define their freedom of action are the focus of this study. The resund Committee, the political institution of the resund Region, serves as an empirical case.
