The average heart rate, changes in embryonic oxidation-reduction levels as well as mitochondria structural condition on the cardiac myoblasts grown-up in primary Hanging-drop culture incubated with DiOC1(3), before and after an hour of treatment, were measured. The Videocardiogram (VCD), the shift from blue to pink in the vital dye Janus Green and redistribution of fluorescence was used to estimating changes. Chick embryos of 3 and 4 days of development, subject to the SLC50 of crude venom showed 18% significant reduction in heart rate. The reduction in heart rate was accompanied by changes in oxidation-reduction level in thoracic-lumbar area of the embryo, with the presence of nucleus bleeding. A rapid angiogenic response was observed. At cellular level, there is a disruption of the cell monolayer, loss of convergence, uniformity and extent of the halo of growth. The myoblasts lose the star form, rounded shapes and numerous cytoplasm filaments appearing. The mitochondria structural are lost, together with the homogenous appearance of fluorescence. These results allow suggesting that probably B.colombiensis poison should be promoting the activation of factors mitocondriales and other constitutive routes of cellular death. At present, the knowledge relative to the cadiotoxicidad is limited; by what there becomes necessary the accomplishment of new exhaustive studies in this area. %K B. colombiensis %K crude venom CSL50 %K cardiotoxicity %K average heart rate (FCP) %K video-cardiogram (VCD) %K oxidation-reduction %K Janus Green %K mitochondria %K DiOC1 (3) %U http://www.sertox.com.ar/img/item_full/27003.pdf
