A round mass lesion measuring 5 cm in diameter was detected in posterior mediastinal compartment on chest radiography obtained for control in a 68-year-old female patient. The patient was hospitalized in our clinic with radiological prediagnosis of pulmonary hydatid cyst after the imaging study of thorax computed tomography. Histopathological examination of the paraspinal mass removed with left posterolateral thoracotomy was reported as schwannoma. Schwannoma should be considered in differential diagnosis when a mass is detected in the posterior mediastinum. %K schwannoma %K thoracotomy %K neurilemmoma %U www.journalagent.com/z4/download_fulltext.asp?pdir=respircase&plng=tur&un=RCR-65375
