%X Ahmedabad, erstwhile Manchester of the east is the seventh largest city of our country. It is the economic capital of the state. Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has an area of 467 square kilometers and a population of 55,70,585 (5.57 million) according to 2011 census1. It is divided into six administrative zones viz. East Zone, West Zone, New West Zone, North Zone, South Zone and Central Zone. There are 57 wards in these 6 zones.
