The use of Chirp signals results in high range and resolution. This paper delineates the design of low complexity C-band CSS transmitter. The carrier generation is based on DDS (Direct Digital Synthesizer) driven PLL frequency synthesizer technique. This scheme generates CSS directly in C-band and is much advantageous over the conventional techniques. Spurious free output, flexibility in waveform generation, faster switching time, improved noise characteristics, and low dc power consumption are the major characteristics of this method. %K Chirp Spread Spectrum %K PLL Frequency synthesizer %K DDS %K VCO %U http://irdindia.in/Journal_IJAEEE/PDF/Vol1_Iss3/5.pdf
