Fundamenta-se em uma pesquisa bibliogr¨¢fica e documental que procura identificar e apontar estrat¨¦gias para esse processo de forma o. Aborda criticamente a utiliza o do termo, tendo como refer¨ºncia autores da ¨¢rea de educa o. Problematiza a forma o continuada como um processo constante e necess¨¢rio ao exerc¨ªcio profissional, imbricado na rela o te¨®rico-pr¨¢tica, na qualidade da produ o documental, na apropria o das novas tecnologias para auxiliar a organizar os dados da realidade que se apresentam no cotidiano profissional. A partir do m¨¦todo cr¨ªtico-dial¨¦tico, enfatiza a necess¨¢ria atitude investigativa e prop e estrat¨¦gias te¨®rico-pol¨ªticas de forma o continuada para o fortalecimento do projeto ¨¦tico-pol¨ªtico do Servi o Social. The purpose of this article is to reflect on continuous and critical professional education in the field of the professional exercise of Social Work. It is based on bibliographic and documental research that sought to identify and indicate strategies for this educational process. It critically analyzes the use of the term, using as a reference authors from the field of education. It problematizes continuous education as a constant and necessary process for professional exercise that is imbricated in the relationship between theory and practice, in the quality of document production and in the appropriation of new technologies to assist in organizing the data about reality that is presented in the daily work of professionals.
